COMPETENCES

The competences of the Intelligence Agency are defined in Articles 2 and  6 of the Law on the Intelligence Agency.

1. Collects data and information that are important for the security and defence of the Republic of Macedonia, and for the economic, political and other interests of the state.

2. Makes analysis and research of the data and information and is obliged to inform the President of the Republic of Macedonia, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, and other state bodies of issues that are important for their sphere of competence.

3. Cooperates with state bodies on issues of mutual concern. In the realisation of the mutual cooperation, the Agency and the state bodies are obliged to mutually exchange data, notifications and information and to coordinate the actions that are within the competence of the Agency.
